Flower essences are natural remedies made by collecting the dewdrops from flowers in the wild. They are taken orally or topically for emotional and mental balance. Popularized in the 1930s by Dr. Edward Bach (of Bach Rescue Remedy tm), flower essences are energetic and can affect us when they are taken internally or sprayed around our surroundings. The medicine of flowers is gentle and subtle, but can profoundly affect mind body and spirit.

How should I take flower essences?

Flower essences are most commonly taken orally but topical application is growing in popularity. Spraying flower essences around the body and room has a relaxing affect that extends around the human aura. Most flower essences are taken 4 times a day for 28 days.

What is a flower remedy?

Flower remedies are made through the combination of two or more flower essences resulting in a synergistic blend. Nectar's proprietary blends are made by an experienced Flower Essences Therapy Practitioner who combines these energetic remedies with aromatic plant oils.

What are essential oils?

Essential oils are the oils secreted by plants to protect themselves from the extremes of climate and insect invaders. These oils act as the immunological defense system of plants and in turn have many benefits to our immune systems. In addition, when we breathe in the aromas of essential oils our spirits are lifted and we become happier.

Explain the difference between Bach Flower Essences™ and Nectar Essences

Dr. Edward Bach popularized flower essences in the 1930s and his remedies are integral to the study and practice of Flower Essences Therapy. Yes. We do include some of the Bach remedies in our products. We also use flower essences from around the world; flowers from the Atacama desert in Chile, the Amazon rainforest, and wildflowers of North America. Our strength lies in the potent combinations that we have created that address specific themes such as sleeplessness, stress, and mental alertness.

I've taken flower essences orally in the past. Are they as effective when sprayed into the air?

Yes. Flower essences are vibrational remedies that work with the aura - the energy field emanating from the body. When you spray essences, you are affecting a change not only in your body but in your surrounding space. What's great is that in addition to de-stressing yourself, you can bring peace and calm to those around you, your office, and home.

How are your products formulated?

Each formula is expertly developed by a trained flower essences practitioner and aromatherapist. Each formula contains two separate elements; essential oils and flower essences. First, essential oils are chosen for their readily known therapeutic benefits. For example, Neroli (orange blossom) is a medicine that the soul craves when besieged by stress, anxiety, worry, and depression. Like scented liquid sunlight, the yellow drops of citrus joy uplift the mind from gloomy moods, rescue the heart from realms of sadness and grief, and strengthen the spirit. Second, 7 to 15 flower essence tinctures are chosen for their energetic healing properties. Our flower essence combinations are proprietary blends that contain flower essences from around the world. These combinations are well guarded and are not to be found anywhere else in the world.

Do Flower Essences heal disease?

Flower essences do not heal diseases, rather they help create a loving environment where the natural process of healing can occur. When we bear the stress of an emotional trauma, we have limited resources for healing. When we take a flower essence which eases emotional stress, we open the door to health and well-being.

Can I use it as a perfume?

Our products are not meant to be perfumes, but if you like the smell - you certainly can wear the scent. What you might notice is that the aroma does not linger like most perfumes or scented products. Nectar Essences are scented with 100 percent pure essential oils, the fragrant molecules derived from plants. We do not use phythalates or synthetic fragrances derived from petroleum.
