Cypress is a tall evergreen tree native to the Mediterranean. Traditionally it has been used for colitis or infections of the gut. It is also used in massage for rheumatism, to promote circulation, as an inhalant for asthma and bronchitis, and for menstrual and menopausal symptoms. The oil is antimicrobial.
